Please keep in mind there is an ordinance regarding snow removal from sidewalks. Borough Code Chapter 264 Article II “Snow and Ice Removal” states that snow must be removed within 24 hours after the snow ceases. Furthermore, Chapter 264 Article III prohibits shoveling snow into the street.

Keeping pedestrians and motorists safe is a priority. Please move your vehicle(s) off Borough streets during snow events so that plowing and salting can proceed effectively.

Also, check up on elderly or infirm neighbors and notify the Borough Office of any situation.
